Now, you need to realize this is Version 5, not Volume 5. We both know I certainly have not made nearly enough worthwhile music to merit five back-catalog collections; this is just the latest version of this type of compilation. The first four versions were made over the years for friends when I wanted them to hear more than just my latest album but not every lousy track I've done. Each version differed only slightly as I'd gear it towards the friend I had in mind at the time and I usually had recorded some new demos since doing the previous version. This compilation is meant to be a general overview of my music; it is meant to accompany There and Back Again and Post Rock Country and thus no songs are repeated between this collection and those two albums. This compilation includes the best songs from my first two albums, The Search for Satori (2004) and Grausamkeit, Manipulation, Bedeutungslosigkeit (2005), along with some demos and other material. The quality level varies significantly, so if you think this is bad, just think about what isn't on this compilation. It is, after all, the supposed best of the rest.
